 About Me

I am passionate about technical communication. I believe providing quality, user-centered technical documentation not only improves the company's bottom lineit also improves the lives of people who regularly use the software.

In my current position, I edit technical and scientific proposals to NASA, the National Science Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health under tight deadlines. I collaborate with faculty researchers and the assistant director of the Office for Proposal Development at the University of Alabama in Huntsville to create persuasive, concise, and correct proposals. Combined with the extensive training I received in my master's program, the skills I have gained in my current position, such as editing complex technical information, collaborating with other writers/editors, and training new employees, have prepared me to excel in a technical writing position.

In my academic training and previous professional experience, I have written technical documentation, completed usability studies, written for a local media organization, and written book reviews for Technical Communication, a quarterly academic journal.

I have two years of writing/editing experience, and I graduate with a MA in Professional Communication in May 2019.
